Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a QA Engineer (ETL & Database Testing) located in Gurugram. The QA Engineer will be responsible for executing test cases, conducting manual testing, and ensuring the quality of software through rigorous testing processes. The role involves working closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues, and ensuring that all software products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the

  automation quality authority

  within the team, guiding testing strategy and technical implementation.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to

  translate complex requirements

  into effective automated test plans.
• Identify

  risks, dependencies, and quality gaps

  early in the lifecycle.
• Design and implement automated tests (integration, end-to-end, load, and performance) for

  data-intensive systems

  .
• Embed

  automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

  to enable rapid, reliable releases.
• Participate in

  design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and domain documentation

  .
• Mentor peers on

  testing frameworks, best practices, and automation strategies

  .
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience in

  distributed computing (Spark)

  and

  software development

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  PostgreSQL

  and database testing.
• Solid understanding of

  OOP principles

  .
• Familiarity with

  Agile Scrum or Kanban

  .
• Proficiency with

  Git

  and

  CI/CD pipelines

  .
• Experience in

  automated integration, load, and performance testing

  .

Good to have

• Docker & containerised environments.
• Spark-Scala, Python, or .Net Core.
• Kubernetes, Airflow.
• Cloud platforms:

  GCP

  or

  Azure

• TeamCity CI and Octopus Deploy.
