Lead QA Automation Engineer

Job Title:

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automated test scripts and frameworks using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress (UI), Postman/Newman (API), and Appium (Mobile).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps) for continuous and reliable delivery.
• Analyse test results, troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and optimize test efficiency.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new automation tools/AI-driven solutions to enhance testing effectiveness.
• Execute a combination of automated and manual tests across functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and UAT phases.
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools with detailed reporting.
• Define and lead test strategies, test plans, and test cases for features, bug fixes, and platform enhancements across web, mobile, and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage, identify risks, and drive automation-first approaches.
• Estimate QA efforts, automation scope, and resources required for project deliverables.
• Provide timely test progress reports, defect status, and product quality insights to stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation with proven success in building and scaling test automation frameworks.
• Strong hands-on expertise with major automation frameworks/tools such as

  Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Puppeteer, Appium (Mobile Automation)

  .
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as

  Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript

  .
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Solid experience in

  API testing (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)

  using tools like

  Postman, SoapUI

  .
• Strong working knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket for version control.
• Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail, qTest, Jira, Azure DevOps).

• Mandatory

  : Experience in stock market / trading domain applications.

• Preferred

  : Exposure to AI-driven test automation solutions.
