Job Summary

QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using

  Playwright (primary)

  and

  TypeScript

  .
• Build and enhance automation frameworks following

  BDD/TDD methodologies

  using tools such as

  Cucumber

  or

  SpecFlow

  .
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation test suites using

  Cypress and Selenium

  .
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA leads to understand requirements and translate them into test plans and scripts.
• Evaluate automation test results, identify defects, and work with teams to drive resolutions.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, provide QA estimates, and contribute to test planning and strategy.
• Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and tooling.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–8 years

  of hands-on experience in QA automation.
• Strong expertise in

  Playwright

  and

  TypeScript

  (must have).
• Solid working knowledge of

  BDD frameworks

  (Cucumber, Gherkin).
• Good experience with

  Cypress

  and

  Selenium WebDriver

  .
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies: functional, regression, E2E, API testing.
• Experience with

  REST API testing

  using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Playwright API library.
• Hands-on experience with

  Git

  , CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with

  Docker

  and cloud environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in

  Agile/Scrum

  development environments.
• Exposure to

  performance testing

  tools (JMeter, k6) is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of

  test management tools

  like Jira, Zephyr, TestRail.
