Job Description: Python Developer (Freelancer, 3+ Years)

We’re looking for a freelance Python Developer with strong experience across Django, React, and MongoDB to build and maintain modern web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs with Django/Django REST Framework
• Build responsive React front-ends; integrate with backend APIs
• Model and optimize MongoDB schemas, indexes, and aggregation pipelines
• Implement authentication/authorization (JWT/OAuth), role-based access
• Write unit/integration tests; ensure code quality and performance
• Containerize services (Docker) and support CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate via PR reviews, issue tracking, and sprint planning
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely fixes

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years professional experience with Python/Django and React
• Solid MongoDB experience (schema design, performance tuning)
• Proficiency with Git, API design, async tasks (Celery/RQ), caching (Redis)
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals and React ecosystem (hooks, routing, state mgmt)
• Experience with environment management, .env secrets, and 12-factor apps

Nice to Have

• Django Channels/WebSockets, GraphQL, SSR/Next.js
• Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), Nginx, Docker Compose/Kubernetes
• Testing frameworks (pytest, Jest), linting/formatting (ruff/black/eslint)

Engagement

• Freelance/remote; part-time or milestone-based
• Share availability (hours/week) and hourly/day rate
• Start: Immediate
