Purchasing Coordinator

Purchasing & Procurement Coordinator    We are a multinational engineering and construction organization seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing & Procurement Coordinator to be based at our Bhiwandi (Thane, Mumbai) facility. This role is responsible for overseeing the complete procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, equipment, and services required for ongoing engineering and construction projects across India.   Key responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating suppliers, managing purchase orders, coordinating local and international logistics, and maintaining optimal stock levels at the Bhiwandi warehouse. The role also involves handling import documentation, customs clearance, and ensuring smooth material flow to project sites in line with schedules and budgetary requirements.   The successful candidate will maintain strong relationships with both domestic and overseas suppliers, negotiate best-value agreements, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement alignment with project and financial objectives. Regular reporting on purchasing activities, stock levels, and supplier performance will also be an essential part of this role.   We are looking for a motivated professional with proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within the engineering, construction, or manufacturing sector. Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills are vital, along with proficiency in ERP or purchasing systems. A proactive, analytical mindset and a “can-do” attitude will ensure success in this fast-paced, project-driven environment.
