Job Purpose:

To support the purchase department in sourcing, evaluating, and procuring materials, components, and services required for textile machinery manufacturing. The role involves coordination with suppliers, maintaining purchase records, ensuring timely availability of materials, and assisting in cost-effective procurement activities.

Qualification:

BE (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Production) interest in procurement/supply chain

Responsibilities :

• Assist in sourcing raw materials, mechanical/electrical components, and consumables.
• Collect, compare, and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers.
• Prepare purchase requests and draft purchase orders for approval.
• Follow up with suppliers for order confirmation and delivery schedules.
• Track material delivery status and ensure timely availability for production.
• Coordinate with stores and production teams to understand material requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the purchase team.
• Maintain purchase records, quotations, PO files, and vendor details.
• Support vendor evaluation and performance tracking.
• Assist in resolving issues related to delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
• Prepare basic cost comparison sheets and assist in price analysis.
• Identify alternative suppliers for standard items to reduce cost/lead time.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports (purchase status, pending materials).
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
• Learn and support usage of ERP systems for purchase transactions.

Skills Required :

• Basic knowledge of purchase/supply chain process.
• Understanding of mechanical/electrical components (added advantage).
• Good communication and vendor-coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (must) and ERP (preferred).
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

Experience:

• Fresher or 1–3 year in purchase/supply chain (preferably manufacturing).
