Job Summary:

A purchase trainee for capital equipment assists the procurement team with the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of high-value assets used for production, manufacturing, or operations.

Job Responsibility:

• Supplier research: Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying potential suppliers and vendors for specialized technical equipment.
• Request for Quotation (RFQ) processing: Assisting with the creation and processing of detailed RFQ documents that outline the specific requirements for complex, custom equipment.
• Vendor management: Communicating with suppliers to track orders, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Cost analysis: Comparing quotes, analyzing market trends, and evaluating the total cost of ownership (TCO), which includes acquisition, installation, maintenance, and disposal costs.
• Documentation: Maintaining meticulous records of purchases, contracts, supplier communications, and invoices.
• Cross-functional support: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to meet project deadlines and align procurement with business goals.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: Any bachelor's degree.
• Analytical skills: The ability to analyze data, compare supplier proposals, and assess complex financial and technical information is essential.
• Communication and negotiation: Strong interpersonal skills are needed to build and maintain vendor relationships and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders.
• Organizational skills: Since trainees often manage multiple orders and projects simultaneously, strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks are critical.
• Technical proficiency: Familiarity with procurement and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is often a key requirement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,133.37 - ₹25,000.00 per month
