Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Handle procurement of all maintenance materials, tools, and office stationery.
Identify requirements, collect quotations, and evaluate vendors for quality and pricing.
Issue purchase orders (POs) for materials, services, and consumables on time.
Manage all service-related POs and coordinate with departments for service completion.
Oversee Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) renewals, negotiations, and PO preparation.
Procure wooden boxes and other consumables required for production or packing.
Maintain optimum stock levels and ensure timely delivery of all purchased items.
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and conduct periodic vendor evaluations.
Negotiate rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
Maintain accurate documentation of POs, quotations, vendor files, and AMC records.
Prepare monthly procurement reports and share updates with management.
Coordinate with maintenance, production, stores, and accounts teams for smooth operations.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and audit requirements.
Track consumption patterns and plan purchases to avoid shortages or excess stock.

Desired profile :

Should have 25 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.
Prior experience in MRO, maintenance items, stationery, service POs, and AMC handling is preferred.
Strong negotiation and vendormanagement skills.
Good knowledge of SAP systems and MS Office.
Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and manage deadlines.
Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
Should be detailoriented, organized, and proactive.
Experience in manufacturing or engineering industry is an added advantage.
Good communication skills and ability to handle vendor interactions professionally.
