Purchase Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Vendor Development & Management:

  Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for castings, forgings, machining, and bought-out parts in accordance with

  RDSO / ISO

  quality requirements.

• Procurement & Negotiation:

  Negotiate contracts, price terms, and delivery schedules to ensure best value procurement without compromising on quality or compliance.

• Compliance & Audit Support:

  Maintain vendor documentation in line with

  ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001

  and internal audit requirements. Assist during supplier and third-party audits with traceable procurement records.

• Inventory & Material Planning:

  Coordinate with production and stores to maintain

  optimum stock levels

  ensuring material availability without excess inventory. Implement

  FIFO, MRP, and reorder level planning.

• Performance Evaluation:

  Monitor vendor quality, delivery reliability, and service performance. Generate

  Vendor Rating Reports

  and initiate improvement plans where needed.

• Logistics & Coordination:

• Oversee movement of critical components, manage transportation vendors, and ensure timely inward inspection and GRN closures.

• Cost & Process Optimization:

  Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing, long-term agreements, and lean supply-chain strategies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should be local from Chandigarh , Mohali ,Kharar area with strong procurement contacts in Punjab and nearby
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP / Excel / documentation management systems.
• Knowledge of logistics, taxation (GST), and supplier quality standards.
• Ability to handle multi-location vendors and travel frequently for inspections and negotiations.
• Strong understanding of industrial procurement, vendor evaluation, and ISO compliance.
