Role & responsibilities

The Purchase Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organizations procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services at competitive costs. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support operational and business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and control all procurement and purchasing functions
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, components, and services
  • Monitor supplier performance and address non-compliance or delays
  • Coordinate with production, finance, stores, and logistics departments
  • Ensure cost control, inventory optimization, and budget adherence
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements

Prefered Educational Qualifications

  • B. Tech / B.E.

    in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, Supply Chain, or a related engineering discipline
