Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to lead our procurement efforts for construction materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality materials at competitive prices, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels. Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement Strategy: - Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for construction materials. - Identify and mitigate supply chain risks. 2. Supplier Management: - Source and evaluate new suppliers. - Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers. - Negotiate contracts and prices. 3. Purchasing: - Place orders and manage inventory levels. - Ensure timely delivery of materials. - Track and resolve any delivery issues. 4. Cost Optimization: - Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings. - Implement cost-reduction initiatives. 5. Quality Control: - Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards. - Collaborate with quality team to resolve any material-related issues. 6. Inventory Management: - Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock. - Minimize waste and excess materials. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field. - Proven experience in purchasing construction materials. - Strong knowledge of construction materials, market trends, and suppliers. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
