Job Description

Mess Operations Management:Oversee daily mess/canteen operations including food preparation, hygiene, and service quality. Supervise kitchen staff, cooks, helpers, and housekeeping personnel. Plan and implement daily/weekly menus in coordination with the chef/cook and management. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Handle student/employee complaints, suggestions, and feedback professionally. Monitor consumption patterns and minimize wastage. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline in the mess premises. Procurement & Inventory:Plan and manage the procurement of food items, groceries, cleaning supplies, and kitchen equipment. Identify reliable vendors and negotiate competitive pricing and delivery schedules. Maintain and regularly update inventory records, stock levels, and reorder supplies as needed. Ensure quality checks on all incoming supplies and reject substandard materials. Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance. Monitor budgets and optimize purchasing to reduce cost without compromising on quality.
