Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Executive – Civil to handle procurement activities for civil and construction-related materials and services. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure civil/construction materials like cement, steel, aggregates, bricks, tiles, plumbing, electrical fittings, etc.
• Obtain competitive quotations, analyze prices, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effective purchases.
• Maintain and update approved vendor database and evaluate vendor performance periodically.
• Review and verify purchase requisitions and ensure specifications and quantities match project needs.
• Track material deliveries and ensure timely delivery at construction sites or warehouses.
• Coordinate with engineering, site, and project teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and standards.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation in ERP or procurement software.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to avoid shortages.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Assist in the resolution of any supply issues, discrepancies, or delays.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of civil and construction materials and their specifications.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP, ERP, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and pricing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the construction, infrastructure, or real estate sector.
• Understanding of local and national supply markets and vendor networks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
