Purchase Engineer

Position: Purchase Engineer
Department: Purchase
Location: Talawade
Reporting to: Plant Head
Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for raw materials, cutting tools, CNC/VMC spares, and consumables.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials as per production requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
• Ensure timely follow-up and delivery tracking to avoid production delays.
• Maintain minimum stock levels for critical machine spares and consumables.
• Coordinate with the stores, production, and maintenance teams for material planning.
• Ensure quality and specification compliance for purchased items.
• Develop cost-saving strategies and alternate vendor sources.
• Maintain and update vendor database and procurement records.
• Handle urgent breakdown requirements with priority.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of CNC/VMC machine parts, tooling, spares, and cutting fluids.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to handle vendor relationships and supplier development.
• Understanding of basic quality standards and machine shop processes.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in CNC/VMC machine shops.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
