Public Relations Officer (PRO) Location: Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi Employment Type: Contractual Remuneration: ₹1,40,000 – ₹1,60,000 (Fixed) About the Role Delhi Technological University (DTU) invites applications for the position of Public Relations Officer (PRO) on a contractual basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the university’s public image, building strong media relations, and enhancing the visibility of DTU across print, digital, and social media platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with one of India’s leading technical universities and play a key part in shaping its communication strategy and brand reputation. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and media strategies to promote DTU’s academic, research, and institutional achievements. Draft press releases, articles, newsletters, and communication materials for media dissemination. Build and maintain effective relationships with journalists, media houses, and communication partners. Coordinate press conferences, media coverage, and official events of the university. Manage and enhance DTU’s presence on social media and other digital platforms. Support internal communication initiatives and ensure consistent brand messaging across departments. Monitor media trends, news coverage, and public perception related to DTU. Prepare periodic reports on PR activities, media performance, and visibility outcomes. Essential Qualifications Option 1: Post-Graduation in Mass Communication or Public Relations Minimum 7 years of experience in a reputed organization OR Option 2: Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication or Public Relations Minimum 10 years of experience in a reputed organization Desired SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi. Excellent media networking and event management skills. Ability to handle crisis communication and reputation management effectively. Proficiency in using digital and social media tools for institutional branding. Strategic thinker with a creative approach to public engagement.
