Roles & Responsibilities:

Inventory Planning & Control for Production Planning:

• Demand Forecasting Support Collaborate with production planning and sales teams to analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer orders.Provide accurate inventory requirement forecasts to ensure materials availability aligns with production schedules.
• Inventory Level OptimizationMaintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to prevent production delays or excess stock.Implement reorder points and safety stock levels based on consumption rates and lead times.
• Material Availability Management Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials required for production by coordinating with suppliers and the purchasing department.Monitor inventory turnover and identify slow-moving or obsolete items to minimize carrying costs.
• Stock Control and Accuracy Oversee inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation with the inventory management system.Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records promptly.
• Coordination with Production Planning Provide real-time inventory status updates to production planners to enable effective scheduling and resource allocation.Collaborate to adjust production plans in response to inventory shortages, supplier delays, or changes in demand.
• Reporting and AnalysisPrepare inventory reports, including stock levels, usage patterns, and material availability forecasts, to support decision-making.Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improving inventory management efficiency.
• Compliance and DocumentationEnsure proper documentation of all inventory transactions in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Maintain records related to inventory movements, adjustments, and stock audits for transparency and audit readiness.
• Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements for inventory management to reduce waste, improve accuracy, and enhance responsiveness to production needs.Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain and production planning processes.
• Risk ManagementAnticipate potential inventory shortages or overstock situations and develop contingency plans to mitigate production risks.Monitor supplier performance and lead times to proactively address potential disruptions.
