Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Psychiatrist role based in kalka. The responsibilities include evaluating and diagnosing mental health conditions, providing evidence-based psychiatric care, and developing personalized treatment plans for patients. The Psychiatrist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, provide therapy and medication management, and support patients in achieving their mental health goals. Regular collaboration with patients' families and caregivers may also be required to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Diagnose, treat, and manage mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders through appropriate therapeutic interventions and prescribed medications.

Analyze and evaluate patient test results to assess and determine the extent of mental disorders.

Collaborate and discuss treatment plans and patient progress with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Design and implement individualized patient care plans using a variety of treatment approaches.

Maintain detailed and confidential patient records, including medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals.

Provide counseling and support to outpatients and other patients during consultations or follow-up visits.

Review and interpret laboratory tests to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health conditions.

Communicate with guardians, family members, or significant others regarding patients’ conditions and treatment progress.

Participate in continuous professional development by attending training sessions, conferences, or seminars; conduct or contribute to research and publication to enhance understanding of mental health disorders.

Evaluate and review treatment procedures and outcomes of other psychiatrists or medical professionals as required.

Prepare detailed case reports and clinical summaries.

Collaborate with committees or community organizations to promote mental health awareness and services.
