Job Opportunity: Proxy Engineer – L1

Role Overview

Proxy Engineer – L1


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage BAU tasks, MACDs, and configuration changes for Proxy solutions.
  • Support incident monitoring, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of tickets.
  • Troubleshoot across OSI layers (L1–L3) and escalate when needed.
  • Perform daily performance checks, apply security patches, and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain device configuration backups as per defined schedule.
  • Coordinate with OEMs for TAC/RMA support and reconfiguration.
  • Deploy and maintain access & security policies for Proxy solutions.
  • Ensure SLA adherence and proper ticket closure in ITSM tools.
  • Conduct periodic audits and compliance checks.
  • Work closely with helpdesk, IT support, and application teams to resolve incidents.

  • Required Skills

    • 2–4 years of overall experience in

      network security

      .
    • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with

      Proxy management

      .
    • Strong knowledge of

      Netskope / McAfee Proxy solutions

      (certification preferred).
    • Experience with

      Windows, Linux, and Unix environments

      .
    • Basic skills in

      scripting/automation (SOAR tools preferred)

      .
    • Familiarity with AD, IAM, SIEM integrations.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills using

      packet capture & analysis tools

      (Wireshark, Pcap).
    • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
    • Willingness to work in a

      24/7 support environment

      .
