Property Accountant

As a General Ledger/Record to Report Accountant at Greystar, you will be responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information, reconcile financial statements, prepare journal entries, assist in budget development, and generate accounting and financial reports for management. Key Responsibilities: - Compile and analyze financial information for various financial statements and accounting reports - Make appropriate journal entries in the general ledger by ensuring accurate calculations, reviewing figures, and reconciling balances - Maintain and coordinate accounting control procedures to analyze revenue and expenditure trends - Recommend budget levels to control expenditures effectively - Analyze accounting and financial resources for property acquisitions, dispositions, closings, budgets, and expenditures - Handle specialized tasks related to construction and development projects - Review fixed assets, manage depreciation, and coordinate asset placements - Serve as a liaison to internal and external auditors by explaining financial transactions and providing necessary information - Communicate with property managers to support accounting processes and ensure timely completion of activities - Prepare various financial, accounting, and administrative reports as required Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of experience as a Staff/GL Accountant in a global organization - Qualified Chartered Accountant or possess a specialized accounting degree Additional Company Details: Greystar is a global leader in property management with a strong focus on providing high-quality services to clients and tenants.
