Job Role: Project Sales - TMT Steel Bars

Location: Bangalore

Department: Sales & Marketing

Job Purpose: The Project Sales role will emphasize on business growth of TMT Steel Bars through government projects, infrastructure companies, and institutional sales. The role involves end-to-end handling of government approvals, liaising with local authorities, managing tender processes, and developing B2B client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure project sales opportunities for TMT Steel Bars in government,
  • infrastructure, and private sectors.
  • Generate and manage sales through government tender participation, bidding, and follow-
  • ups.
  • Develop B2B business with contractors, builders, EPC companies, and institutional clients.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and market share objectives.

2) Government Liaison & Approvals:

  • Coordinate with government departments, PWD, railways, metro authorities, and other

infrastructure agencies for project approvals.

  • Build strong relationships with government officials and local authorities to facilitate

approvals and smooth business operations.

  • Ensure compliance with government norms and support in obtaining licenses, certifications,

and project clearances.

3) Tender Management:

  • Track upcoming government tenders related to TMT Steel Bars.
  • Prepare and submit bids, ensuring technical and commercial compliance.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with government and institutional clients.

4) Market Intelligence & Strategy:

  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and track government infrastructure projects.
  • Provide insights on market trends, pricing, and demand forecasts.
  • Recommend strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company's footprint.

  • Required Qualification & Skills

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering / Business Administration / Commerce (MBA preferred).
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in project sales, preferably in steel, cement, or building materials
  • sector.
  • Proven track record in handling government tenders, approvals, and B2B institutional sales.
  • Familiarity with local authorities, infrastructure bodies, and project consultants.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of TMT Steel Bars and construction industry.
  • Experience in government liasoning, approvals, and tender processes.
  • Excellent networking, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
