Project Manager

Role & responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Project Manager to lead and deliver complex transformation programs within the telecom domain, with a strong focus on Core Network Migration, Business Support Systems (BSS), and Online Charging Systems (OCS). The role requires end-to-end project governance, vendor and stakeholder management, and proven expertise in managing cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale telecom migration and digital transformation programs on time and within budget.

Preferred candidate profile

Own and drive end-to-end project delivery for core network migration, BSS, and OCS transformation initiatives.

Develop and manage detailed project plans, resource allocation, budgets, and risk/issue registers.

Coordinate across multiple teams: Core Network, IT (BSS/OSS), OCS, CRM, Billing, and external vendors.

Lead migration planning and execution (HLR/HSS, PCRF, IMS, IN, OCS, etc.) with minimal customer impact.

Ensure compliance with telecom regulatory standards (TRAI, DoT, GDPR equivalents) during migrations.

Manage stakeholder communication across technical and business teams, ensuring project transparency and timely escalations.

Oversee vendor engagement and SLA adherence for system integrators and OEM partners.

Ensure smooth cutover management, data migration, UAT, and post-migration stabilization.

Track KPIs, generate project status reports, and present updates to leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of total experience in Telecom/IT, with 5+ years in Project Management.

Strong background in Core Network domains (CS, PS, IMS, VoLTE, 5G readiness preferred).

Hands-on experience managing BSS stack transformations (CRM, Billing, Mediation, Revenue Assurance, Partner Management).

Solid knowledge of OCS/IN systems real-time charging, balance management, tariff/migration handling.

Experience in large-scale migrations (subscriber migration, data migration, charging system migration).

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in working with multi-vendor environments (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Amdocs, Comviva, Oracle).

Proven ability to deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget.

Preferred Qualifications

Telecom Engineering or Computer Science degree.

Knowledge of 5G Core (5GC), Cloud-native BSS/OCS, and containerized architectures.

Exposure to Digital Transformation initiatives in Telco (Cloud, API-driven BSS, CI/CD).
