Job Description

A Fire Protection Project Manager oversees and coordinates fire safety projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing timelines, budgets, and resources. They collaborate with various stakeholders like engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver projects successfully. This role requires strong communication, technical knowledge of fire protection systems, and the ability to manage risks and ensure safety standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:Developing project plans, defining scope, setting timelines, managing budgets, and allocating resources.
  • Coordination and Communication:Collaborating with design teams, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Compliance and Safety:Ensuring all work complies with relevant fire safety codes, regulations, and company policies.
  • Risk Management:Identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks throughout the project.
  • Quality Control:Overseeing the quality of work and ensuring it meets established standards and specifications.
  • Budget Management:Tracking project costs, managing expenses, and ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Resource Management:Managing personnel, equipment, and materials effectively to ensure project success.
  • Stakeholder Management:Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during a project.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Experience: Prior experience in fire protection, construction, or related fields is often required.
