They develop and implement safety programs, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and train employees on safety procedures. Their responsibilities may also include risk assessments, developing and implementing safety policies, and collaborating with other departments to improve safety measures\ Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Analyze potential hazards in the workplace, conduct risk assessments, and identify areas where safety protocols need improvement. Safety Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses. Facility and Equipment Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and machinery to identify and correct potential hazards. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Safety Training and Education: Provide training to employees on safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations and standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs, and prepare reports as required. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments, management, and employees to promote a safety-conscious culture.
