Project Manager - Manufacturing Ops & Delivery

Role Context

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing & Production Execution

• Own end-to-end execution of

  atmospheric water generation systems

  and related production equipment
• Translate thermal design, mechanical CAD, and automation specs into actionable production plans
• Plan and coordinate

  fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, wiring, plumbing, and commissioning

  across internal workshops and external vendors
• Ensure adherence to

  quality standards

  (food safety, material compatibility, leak testing, performance validation)
• Drive continuous improvement on manufacturing processes, lead times, and yield rates

2. Project Planning & Control

• Create detailed project timelines with milestones, dependencies, and critical paths for each manufacturing project
• Track progress daily/weekly across multiple concurrent builds
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and supplier delays early; drive corrective action plans
• Maintain clear documentation: BOMs, assembly checklists, test protocols, delivery trackers, and status dashboards for leadership

3. Cost Management & Optimization

• Own project budgets and manufacturing cost targets per system
• Track material costs (fabrication components, sensors, process chemicals), labor, and outsourcing spend
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through design-for-manufacturing, vendor negotiations, and process improvements
• Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and engineering to control spend without compromising quality or delivery

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the bridge between

• Align stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs
• Resolve inter-team dependencies to avoid production delays (e.g., CAD finalization, component arrivals, site readiness)
• Coordinate with site installation teams for

  commissioning, performance testing, and customer handover

5. Delivery & Deployment

• Own delivery timelines from factory gate to customer site (hotels, data centers, commercial facilities)
• Coordinate dispatch logistics, installation readiness, and on-site assembly/integration
• Ensure systems are

  performance-tested, leak-tested, and validated

  before customer sign-off
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover to operations teams when required

6. Process & System Building

• Define and improve

  SOPs

  for manufacturing workflows, quality checks (leak tests, water quality, thermal performance), and safety protocols
• Build repeatable frameworks for scaling production from pilot units to high-volume manufacturing
• Introduce project controls, Gantt charts, daily standups, and visual management systems on the shop floor
• Enable the team to move from custom one-off builds to standardized, modular system assembly

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years

  of experience in

  manufacturing, production, or project management

  in a hands-on, execution-focused role
• Strong exposure to

  machine building, SPMs, fabrication, or thermal/process equipment manufacturing

• Experience with

  metal fabrication, fluid systems, or food/pharma-grade equipment

  is a strong plus
• Deep understanding of

  shop-floor operations

  : fabrication, welding, assembly, wiring, testing, and commissioning
• Proven ability to manage

  cost, quality, and delivery

  on complex, multi-component systems
• Comfortable working in a

  fast-paced, build-from-scratch startup environment

  with evolving designs and tight timelines
• Strong

• Experience scaling manufacturing operations or building production lines from prototype to volume production
• Exposure to

• Experience in

  climate-tech, water-tech, renewable energy, or cleantech hardware startups

• Familiarity with

  food safety standards

  (FSSAI), industrial quality systems, or customer site installations
