Production Merchandiser

Looking for Production Merchandiser role for Women's Wear manufacturing company located in Gurgaon.

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare cost sheets by obtaining accurate fabric, trims, and processing costs

• Ensure all materials, trims, and required approvals are in place prior to Planned Cut Date (PCD)

• Monitor and maintain quality standards at both sampling and bulk production stages, including rigorous checks of fabric and trims
• Coordinate closely with internal departments, following up on targets while maintaining apositive and collaborative working relationship
• Serve as a strong communication link with buyers and buying agents, clarifying requirements and approvals efficiently
• Collaborate with pattern makers to ensure pattern development aligns with the buyers specifications
• Proactively source and arrange fabrics and trims required for new developments and confirmed orders

• Place orders for all materials, including fabrics, trims, threads, and accessories, in accordance with development and production timelines.

• Support an innovative, solution-oriented approach to simplify and improve development processes
• Generate and share reports with relevant departments to ensure transparent, data-driven decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

• 37 years of experience in

  product development, merchandising

• Strong understanding of 

  garment construction, fabric types, trims, and surface ornamentation techniques(embroidery, embellishment, dyeing)

• Ability to analyze tech packs, prepare cost sheets, and translate design concepts into executable products
• Demonstrated experience in working with international buyers or export clients; familiarity with global quality and aesthetic standards
• Solid experience in vendor coordination, material sourcing, and production follow-ups
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and time management skills
• Strong eye for detail, quality, and craftsmanship, with a solution-driven approach to problem-solving
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving client needs.
