Department
You will be part of Global Proposal & Order Desk / GBC, Chennai. Your primary role is to Provide customers with technical support to ensure the right selection of spare parts, services or products based on detailed specifications and support the Sales Managers/Sales Engineers in sales activities and general administrative tasks in order to create an efficient sales function.
Your Responsibilities
Project Manager (Upgrades & Rebuilds) lead the project from Order / Pre-Order stage to the delivery / closure stage from FLS end. Act as a single point of contact for customer input receipt, project plan updation& monitoring, engineering facilitation, Procurement coordination, performance testing, customer updation & resolving queries, during & post execution till the project closure. Ensure that project is delivered on time, as per budget and agreed quality levels.
Customer Coordination
▪Act as a liaison between Customer & FLS organization▪Coordinate with Key customer contacts for technical / commercial inputs, approvals & deviations (if any)▪Have periodic meetings - project progress updation, and receive support on risk mitigations or overcoming challenges (Customer / FLS end)▪Address the escalations, queries and provide the necessary resolutions as per SLAs▪Provide visibility on deliveries and pro actively inform on delays and discuss on mitigations for critical path items▪Receive necessary approvals for out of contract service/product delivery and ensure that is being invoiced▪Drive execution excellence and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction, in alignment with company KPIs▪Coordinate with customer for milestone payment delays (if required)▪Ensure that FLS or partners working @ customer site are following Safety & other administrative protocols (defined by Customer & FLS)
Internal Coordination
▪Communicate the project plan and ensure the internal functions are on time, quality & cost on their deliveries▪Allocate the project manhours and monitor the expenses and time booking to ensure that targeted CM is achieved▪Ensure that functional conflicts that hamper the project deliveries are resolved or escalate it for quicker resolution, as situation warrants▪Expedite (if required) for the Critical path deliveries and coordinate with customer for material acceptance approvals (if any)
What You Bring
- You are a Global Business Engineer or have a comparable background.
- Your previous career has provided you with experience within the cross field of Project Management.
- You are used to foreseeing and solving potential problems.
- You are proactive and have a structured approach to your tasks, enabling you to handle several cases at a time.
- You have a cross-cultural understanding and can communicate with people of different nationalities and professional backgrounds.
- Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s Engineering degree from a reputed university. Mechanical specialization would be preferred

- Good Oral & Written communication skills.
- Good knowledge in Technical & commercial Terms
- Pro-active, determined and dynamic.
- Good planning and organizing skills.

- Knowledge in Project Management
- Knowledge in Oracle based ERP system will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Engineering / Design / structural knowledge in plants equipment's will be an added advantage.
Qualification
: Graduate in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical)
Experience
: 9- 14 years for BE candidates
