About the Organization

Gram Bartori Vikas Shikshan Samiti (GBVSS) is a grassroots non-profit organization established in 1998 working in the development sector with a long-term vision to bring sustainable change in rural and tribal communities of Chhattisgarh. We are involved in a wide range of initiatives including farm and non-farm-based livelihoods, community institution building, water resource management, and capacity building of SHGs and FPOs. We are now looking to expand our core team with committed professionals who can drive our mission forward with passion and integrity.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Core Team Member / Project Management Expert to lead the overall management of all ongoing and upcoming projects of the organization from the organizational point of view. This is a strategic role that combines leadership, planning, coordination, and operational oversight across thematic and geographical areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of all development projects run by the organization.
• Provide strategic and operational oversight for both farm and non-farm based livelihoods, including SHG and FPO development.
• Facilitate water resource management and agriculture-based interventions effectively.
• Coordinate with funding agencies, government departments, and other stakeholders for program implementation and scaling.
• Prepare and review project proposals, budgets, presentations, and progress reports.
• Provide mentorship and capacity building to field teams and project staff.
• Represent the organization in forums, meetings, and external reviews.
• Maintain transparent documentation, MIS systems, and internal reporting processes.
• Contribute actively to the organizational growth vision and possibly become a part of the governing board in the future based on performance and commitment.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the development sector, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
• Strong experience in both farm and non-farm-based livelihood development, community institution building (FPOs, SHGs), and water resource management.
• Proven abilities in proposal writing, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and team management.
• Proficient in both English and Hindi (spoken and written); local language skills will be an advantage.
• Must have good computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PPT).
• Must be willing to work from the district office at Korba city and should have a personal bike for field visits.
• Must be committed for long-term association; those seeking short-term opportunities will not be considered.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Consolidated salary: ₹45,000 per month (Negotiable)
• Conveyance allowance as per organizational norms
