Project Lead – Fire & Gas cum Fire Suppression Systems (FGS/FSS)

The Project Lead – Fire & Gas (FGS) and Fire Suppression Systems (FSS) is responsible for leading the design, engineering, documentation, and execution of electrical & instrumentation (E&I) and mechanical fire protection systems for Oil & Gas and Marine projects. The role provides technical leadership across fire detection, gas detection, fire alarm, and suppression systems (water-based and gas-based), ensuring compliance with international codes, client specifications, classification society requirements, and project schedules. The position involves close coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant fire protection solutions across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and coordinate all engineering and execution activities related to FGS and FSS systems.
• Liaise with clients, multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Manage schedules, resources, budgets, and engineering risks.
• Conduct design reviews, technical discussions, and client presentations.
• Ensure timely delivery of quality engineering deliverables.

Multi-Disciplinary Integration

• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural, and fabrication teams.
• Ensure integrated and optimized system designs across disciplines.

Technical & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and project specifications.
• Review and coordinate Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and testing procedures.
• Obtain required client and regulatory approvals.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Conduct regular coordination meetings with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review vendor technical documents and support procurement activities.

Project Execution Support

• Provide technical support during engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.
