Internship Opportunities with Voluntary Nature Conservancy (VNC-India)

We’re delighted to announce a 4-month Research Internships starting November 1, 2025, in Central Gujarat! Join our team to explore the fascinating world of human–crocodile coexistence while contributing to real on-ground conservation. Gain hands-on experience in wildlife research, biodiversity monitoring, GIS mapping, and community engagement — ideal for passionate students eager to make a tangible impact in crocodile and wetland conservation.

Project Focus:

Understanding Human–Crocodile Interactions in Central Gujarat

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Conduct crocodile population and associate biodiversity surveys (mammals, birds, amphibians, plants, etc.) using camera traps and transect walks.

2.    Monitor crocodile nests, record field observations, and document conflict incidents Collect

3.    Conduct community interviews and socio-economic surveys in local villages

4.    Support awareness workshops and training on safe coexistence practices

5.    Contribute to data entry, analysis, and long-term monitoring strategies

6.    Assist in report writing and conservation recommendations for wetland protection
