A Project Engineer specializing in aluminium windows and doors plays a pivotal role in overseeing the technical and operational aspects of facade and fenestration projects. This position demands a blend of engineering expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of architectural systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Design & Technical Coordination Review and approve shop and fabrication drawings for accuracy and compliance with specifications. Collaborate with architects, clients, and design teams to ensure designs meet project requirements. Select materials that balance performance, cost, and compliance with standards. Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and specialized tools like OrgaData and LogiKal for design and estimation. 2. Project Planning & Execution Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain deadlines 3. Installation & Site Management Oversee the installation process to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or delays. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards 4. Quality Assurance & Compliance Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship. Address any defects or issues promptly to maintain high-quality standards. Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and regulations. 5. Budget & Resource Management Monitor project budgets and manage costs effectively. Ensure efficient use of resources and materials to minimize waste. Prepare and submit progress and financial reports as required. 6. Client Communication & Documentation Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates to clients on project status, addressing any concerns or changes. Maintain accurate records of project activities, including schedules, budgets, and materials used. 🎓 Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience in managing aluminium door and window installation projects. Strong understanding of aluminium door and window systems, installation techniques, and industry standards. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
