Position: Project Engineer - Telecom Engineering

Qualification: - B. E. Degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Experience:- 5-7 years

Location:- Navi Mumbai

Job Overview: The Telecom Engineer is responsible for the detailed engineering design of Telecom Packages and ensures that the design is in compliance to the client’s specifications and international standards and codes. Telecom Engineer is expected to support Lead Engineer for the assigned Projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

•B. E. Degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

•Minimum 5 years’ design engineering experience in Telecommunication systems for offshore vessels.

•Relevant practical industry experience

•Experience in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and engineering tools

Roles & Responsibilities:

•Responsible for the engineering works of Telecom Systems commonly used in Marine & Oil & Gas sector. Telecom Systems included such as WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi network, PA/GA, CCTV, PABX, IPTV, TVRO, VSAT, Environmental Monitoring, GMDSS, UHF, VHF, RACONS, Radar & Navigation System, etc.

•Prepare RFQ, and Technical Bid Evaluation when required.

•Prepare Functional Design Specification for Telecom Systems.

•Prepare TQ, MTO, Equipment List and Cable Schedule.

•Prepare drawings (in AutoCAD) such as Cable Block Diagram, Layout Drawings, Termination Drawings.

•Conversant with class society guidelines, international codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NORSOK, DNV, LLYODS & ABS.

•An understanding and working knowledge of the ATEX /IEC Ex Directives, and the installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.

•Able to multi-task and work on two or more Projects at the same time.

•Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Travel: Depending on project exigencies, local and overseas travelling required for visits to yard for meetings, equipment installation support & commissioning work.
