Project Engineer (Electrical)

The Project Engineer – Electrical will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing solar power projects and electrical works from start to finish. The role requires strong technical knowledge, site management skills, and the ability to handle multiple project activities while ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution

• Assist in planning and executing solar EPC projects (Rooftop & Ground-mounted).
• Prepare project schedules, work plans, and daily/weekly progress reports.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct site feasibility assessments and verify engineering drawings.

2. Electrical Works Management

• Supervise electrical installations including cable laying, earthing, panel installation, testing & commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, code of practices, and safety norms.

3. Site Coordination & Supervision

• Manage site manpower and allocate tasks effectively.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance.
• Resolve technical/site-related issues promptly.
• Ensure proper material management and report shortages to the procurement team.

4. Quality, Safety & Documentation

• Ensure quality control at all stages of project execution.
• Implement safety protocols and conduct toolbox meetings.
• Maintain project documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, and test reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in solar EPC or electrical project execution

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of solar PV systems and electrical installations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (SLD, GA, Layouts).
• Knowledge of electrical standards (IS/IEC codes).
• Experience with testing & commissioning of electrical systems.
