Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic civil engineering and construction team. The ideal candidate will support the planning, design, and execution of various infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer to develop their skills and grow professionally under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

· Project Support: Assist senior engineers and project managers in developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

· Site Monitoring: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations, and identify potential issues.

· Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations on project status for internal and external stakeholders.

· Design and Analysis: Assist in preparing engineering designs, specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates from drawings and BOQs (Bills of Quantities).

· Collaboration: Coordinate with contractors, architects, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve technical issues as they arise.

· Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control measures, ensuring all project deliverables meet required industry standards and specifications.

· Permitting: Support the preparation and submission of permit applications to appropriate agencies, ensuring all projects comply with local regulations and building codes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Education: Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

· Experience: 1-2 years of experience in project engineering, site engineering, or a relevant construction role.

· Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in design and visualization software, particularly AutoCAD and MS Office Suite

o Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction methods.

o Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

· Soft Skills:

o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

o Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

o A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
