Project Engineer

Role Overview: Babcock Power, a global leader in steam generation and energy-related products and services, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team at Vogt Power International (VPI) in Louisville, KY. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for project engineering coordination, ensuring project success and customer satisfaction through technical leadership and effective communication. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the technical aspect of assigned projects during contract execution - Provide on-site support to vendors and manufacturing to ensure project success - Interpret and ensure specification requirements are met during project execution - Act as the lead technical contact for customers on assigned projects - Coordinate tasks with Discipline Managers and project team personnel to maintain project engineering schedules - Develop and maintain project man-hour forecasts, reporting progress to upper management - Manage the Document Control Automation Program (DCAP) for the project - Process all incoming vendor and customer documents, ensuring proper review and communication - Develop and coordinate project O&M manual as required - Represent the Engineering Department internally and externally, facilitating design improvements and innovation projects - Review sales proposals, RFQs, proposal schedules, and technical reports Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical, chemical, or metallurgical Engineering or closely related field - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Knowledge of company standards and applications - Familiarity with various codes (ASME, NBIC, B31.1, etc.) desirable - Working knowledge of HRSG or boiler operations, design philosophy, and application details - Minimum five (5) years of related industry experience - Valid passport and willingness to travel when required - Resourceful, organized, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Note: This role also requires a preparedness to visit Thailand for a period of 6 months to 1 year for training purposes.,
