Program Manager

This role involves managing a program end to end with senior management support for several critical customers. It involves coordinating with different government & private customers to ensure the program is running on track. Level 1 knowledge of technical details is required, and candidate must be willing to learn high level information of new technologies but detailed technical knowledge is not expected

Responsibilities

• Manage the pre and post-bidding process of customer including understanding the

requirement, clarifying any gaps, passing on work to relevant teams like engineering,

purchase, production and finding the bottlenecks to getting work done

• In pre-bid stage, manage critical work like getting engineering drawings vetted by

engineering team, understanding tooling needs, and checking stock position

• In post-bid stage, identify procurement volumes by comparing with stock position,

identify best prices from standard sources and program manage PO placement with

purchase team

• Monitor progress and provide timely updates on material procurement – proactively

identify risks to the process such as payment of customs duty, inconsistency of freight

forwarder

• Manage production planning & control – ensure stores team delivers to production team

in time, ensure production has all documentation to begin the work (work order, traveller

card, tools, tool instructions) and ensure that critical products are picked up in a manner

which meets timelines, all while ensuring quality

• Directly interface with the customers - present half-weekly / weekly updates on

manufacturing output and progress of new projects

Qualifications & Skills

Qualifications (simple terms):

• 10+ years of experience managing projects & programs or production in a shop floor

• Very good English speaking skills and professional presence

• Engineering background in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar field is preferred.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
