Job Description

A Program Manager oversees a collection of interconnected projects to achieve a specific organizational goal, acting as a strategic leader to ensure the program's success. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing these projects, focusing on the overall program's objectives and benefits. Managing the budget of a program, writing funding proposals and allocating company resources. Managing the risks and contingency plans of a program. Communicating with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Vision: Developing the program's overall strategy, goals, and objectives, ensuring they align with the organization's vision. Data Analysis and Interpretation Use statistical methods and analytical tools to examine datasets and uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations. Reporting and Visualization Create clear, visually compelling reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Python libraries. Present findings to stakeholders in a way that supports strategic decision-making. Collaboration with Teams Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business managers, data engineers, and IT teams to understand data needs and objectives. Stakeholder Management: Communicating effectively with stakeholders (internal and external) to manage expectations, gather feedback, and ensure program alignment. Performance Monitoring: Tracking program performance, identifying areas for improvement, and driving continuous improvement. Budget Management: Developing and managing the program's budget, ensuring it aligns with the program's goals and objectives. Performance Tracking and KPI Monitoring Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business success and efficiency.. Reporting & Communication: Preparing regular program reports for stakeholders, communicating progress, and addressing concerns. Skills Required 1. Fluent in MS Office Suite, especially Excel. MS Project knowledge will be preferred. 2. Project Management qualification / PMP will be an advantage 3.Exposure to Payments, Financial Inclusion, InsureTech, and Lending would be useful. 4. Networking with industry experts. Ability to enhance own knowledge / self-learner. Technical/Functional Proficiency Required 1. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with all levels of an organization 2. Strong planning, analytical skills, A high degree of attention to quality, detail and deadlines 3. People skills including: acting with integrity and respect for others, negotiation, political sensitivity, professional impartiality, service orientation, personal time management and ability to achieve success through exercise of influence 4. Ability to work with processes established to retain critical knowledge and facilitate knowledge transfer 5. Initiative and the ability to work in a self-directed fashion, Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions. 6. Ability to step outside role confines and help teach and enable other team members. 7. Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
