Production Supervisor

Role Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities in the Press Shop and Secondary Operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety norms, and delivery schedules are met efficiently. Key Responsibilities Production & OperationsSupervise day-to-day operations of press shop and secondary production processes Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan Allocate manpower and machines effectively to meet output requirements Monitor cycle times, productivity, and downtime Quality ControlEnsure production as per drawing, control plan, and quality standards Coordinate with Quality team to address rejections and corrective actions Implement preventive measures to reduce defects and scrap Manpower Management: Guide, train, and motivate operators and helpers Maintain discipline, attendance, and proper shift handover Ensure operators follow SOPs and work instructions Machine & Tooling ManagementMonitor machine performance and basic maintenance Ensure proper usage and storage of tools, dies, and fixtures Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to safety norms and PPE usage Promote 5S, housekeeping, and safe working practices Report and prevent unsafe acts and conditions Documentation & Reporting daily production reports, rejection data, and downtime records Support audits (ISO / IATF / customer audits if applicable) Communicate production status to seniors regularly Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of press shop operations and secondary processes Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Leadership and team-handling skills Problem-solving and decision-making abilities Basic computer skills (Excel, production reports)
