Job Title: Production Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This multifaceted role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility and the successful delivery and installation of our material handling solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and leadership capabilities to oversee various operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

  • Oversee and manage daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules.
  • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize output.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures in the production area.

Store Management:

  • Manage inventory of raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage.
  • Implement efficient material flow and storage solutions to support production needs.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Purchase Management:

  • Coordinate with suppliers for the timely procurement of raw materials, components, and other necessary items.
  • Assist in vendor selection, negotiation, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Track purchase orders and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.

Basic Accounting Support:

  • Assist with basic accounting functions related to purchases, inventory, and production costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and support financial reporting as required.

Customer Site Visits & Project Management:

  • Conduct site visits to customer locations to assess requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure project readiness.
  • Coordinate logistics and resources for on-site activities.

Installation & Commissioning:

  • Lead and oversee the installation and commissioning of Material Handling Equipment (such as scissor lifts, goods lifts, dock levelers, etc.) at customer sites.
  • Collaborate closely with the installation team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct final checks and testing to ensure equipment functionality and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (upto 3-5 years) in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably in material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and procurement.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in the installation and commissioning of industrial machinery, particularly hydraulic lifts and dock levelers.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and customers.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer applications (MS Office, inventory software).
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites as required.
