Production Supervisor- Emergency Restoring System (ERS)

• Supervise and coordinate operations of metal cutting, bending, welding, and assembly sections.
• Ensure production schedules are met as per customer requirements.
• Optimize manpower allocation and machine utilization.
• Monitor welding parameters, cutting accuracy, and bending angles as per design.
• Ensure fabricated components meet drawing specifications and tolerances.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and reduce rework, wastage, and scrap.
• Coordinate with the Quality team for weld inspection, NDT requirements, and corrective actions.
• Oversee operation of CNC plasma/laser cutting machines, shearing, press brakes, MIG/TIG welding equipment, etc
• Ensure machines and tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Report and coordinate breakdown maintenance with the Maintenance team.
• Lead welders, fabricators, operators, and helpers.
• Conduct skill training for welding and fabrication techniques.
• Maintain discipline, shift scheduling, and attendance managemnet.
• Implement safety standards for cutting and welding operations (PPE, safe gas cylinder handling, fire prevention).
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S culture in shop floor.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and safety audits.
• Maintain production reports, material consumption, welding logs, and traceability records.
• Update job cards and ERP/MIS entries.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Reduce cycle time and improve fabrication output efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI / Tech in Mechanical / Production / Welding.
• 3-7 years of experience in the fabrication industry.
• Working knowledge of welding standards (MIG/TIG/ARC).
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Familiar with gauges, measuring tools, and material handling equipment.
• Good leadership and communication skills.

Skills and Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Working proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office tools.
• Understanding of commercial terms like Incoterms, taxation, and vendor compliance.

Preferred Candidate:

• Hands-on knowledge of the fabrication process.
