Senior Engineer Electrical (Solar Project Site)

Location: Pan India Experience: 2-3 years Job Role The Senior Engineer Electrical will be responsible for overseeing electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities at the solar project site. The role involves ensuring quality execution, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and coordination with contractors and site teams for smooth project implementation. Key Responsibilities Electrical Work Execution & Supervision Supervise and monitor electrical installation, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, cables, and switchgear. Ensure all electrical works comply with design specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. Coordinate with site teams and contractors to maintain efficient work progress. Quality Assurance & Compliance Conduct inspections and quality checks for electrical components and installations. Ensure compliance with national and international electrical standards (IS, IEC, NEC, etc.). Identify and resolve quality issues related to electrical work. Testing & Commissioning Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical systems. Conduct testing of cables, transformers, inverters, and other electrical equipment. Assist in troubleshooting and rectifying technical faults during commissioning. Safety & Risk Management Ensure adherence to electrical safety protocols and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines. Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for workers. Identify potential hazards and implement risk mitigation measures. Material Management & Coordination Verify electrical materials received at the site and ensure proper handling and storage. Coordinate with the procurement and store teams for material requirements. Ensure proper utilization of manpower and resources to avoid project delays. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of electrical work progress, testing reports, and site documentation. Prepare daily and weekly reports on electrical activities and submit them to the Assistant Manager Electrical. Document any deviations, issues, and corrective actions taken on-site. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and solar power systems. Experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment in solar projects. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and specifications. Knowledge of electrical safety regulations, grounding systems, and protection schemes. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and project documentation. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Qualifications Educational Requirement : B.E./B. Tech Electrical Engineering Experience Requirement : 2-3 years of experience in electrical work for solar or power projects Travelling : He should be ready to Travel if required for Business purposes. Language : English, Gujarati & Hindi would be preferable Preferred Candidate: Male Candidates would be preferable (Electrical Safety Certification, QA/QC in Electrical, or Training in Testing & Commissioning)
