Production Merchandiser

As a professional in this role, you will be responsible for Supplier Management by maintaining regular communication with suppliers to monitor progress and promptly address any issues that may arise. You will also be involved in Production Coordination tasks, which include coordinating production schedules and timelines to meet delivery deadlines. Collaboration with internal teams such as design, sourcing, and logistics will be crucial to ensure seamless production processes. Monitoring production progress and addressing any delays or discrepancies to maintain PO timelines will also be part of your duties. Your role will also involve Quality Assurance responsibilities, where you will plan for regular quality inspections at various stages of production to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. Communication and resolution of any quality issues found with suppliers, the design team, and sourcing team will be essential. Cost Management will be another key aspect of your job, requiring you to monitor production costs and budgets to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness. Identifying opportunities for cost optimization, such as material sourcing alternatives or production process improvements, will also be part of your tasks. In terms of Risk Management, you will need to identify potential risks and challenges in the production process and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively addressing issues like supply chain disruptions and quality defects to minimize negative impacts on production will be crucial. Your role will also involve Documentation and Reporting tasks, which include maintaining accurate records of production activities, time and action calendars with updated production schedules, and quality reports. Furthermore, you will need to prepare regular reports on production performance, including key metrics like timely delivery percentage against the PO target dates, quality metrics for PO inspections conducted versus passed/rejections, and PO completion reports with the reconciliation of material issued versus receipt quantity. Providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement will also be expected from you.
