Production Merchandiser

As a Production Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the end-to-end process of product planning, development, and execution. Your responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating a strong understanding of various garment types, manufacturing processes, and quality standards. - Sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers for raw materials and production services. - Supervising the creation of pre-production samples to ensure design accuracy and gain customer approval. - Managing the development and approval process for prototypes and samples. - Cultivating strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and cost efficiency. - Ensuring that products meet quality standards throughout all stages of production. - Implementing corrective actions to address quality issues and uphold product integrity. - Maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, production schedules, and shipment details. - Utilizing previous experience in fabrics, with a preference for exports. - Being adept at working both independently and collaboratively with the merchandising team. - Possessing strong negotiation and coordination skills. - Remaining open to a combination of office-based tasks and fieldwork. Qualifications Desired: - Minimum of 4 years of experience in merchandising, product sourcing, and value addition. - Profound knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards. - Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and organization. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. - Problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and timely delivery.
