Production Manager, Textile Industry

Responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process—from fabric cutting to finishedgarments—ensuring timely production, quality standards, cost efficiency, and propercoordination across departments. The role involves planning, organizing, and controllingproduction operations to achieve daily and monthly targets while maintaining productivity andcompliance.

Key Responsibilities:

● Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on orders and deliveryschedules.

● Coordinate with merchandising, sampling, and procurement teams for raw materialreadiness.

● Allocate manpower and machinery according to production requirements.

● Monitor WIP and ensure on-time delivery.

● Supervise cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing departments.

● Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

● Ensure machines and tools are maintained properly and are in good working condition.

● Resolve production bottlenecks and technical issues promptly.

● Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

● Coordinate with QA/QC teams to minimize rework and rejection.

● Monitor material usage, production costs, and line efficiency.

● Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.

● Maintain accurate records of daily production, rejections, and wastage.

Qualification and Skills:

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

● 7+ years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerialrole.

● Hands-on experience in sewing operations and line management is mandatory.

● Proficiency in production planning tools and Excel-based reporting.

● Experience in lean manufacturing or other efficiency improvement methods preferred.

● Strong leadership and team management skills.

● Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

● Knowledge of ERP or production tracking systems is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
