The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and production management, with a focus on quality and efficiency. This is a full-time position based in our Hosur, Tamil Nadu location. Job Details:
The role of Heading the Case Machine Shop requires a Combination of Technical and Managerial skills This involves managing in-house vendors, capacity planning, optimizing resource use, ensuring cost-effectiveness, scheduling production, meeting delivery requirements, and maintaining quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Resource utilization

Enhancing Performance Focusing on shared goals to drive team success and productivity.

Production planning as per the machining vendor man capacity vis-\u00E0-vis production requirement for the year, month and day

Resource planning of man, machine and material for the production requirement for the month & year

Tools Planning Jig, Fixtures, and consumables

Vendor Management

Vendor Relationship & Performance Management

Risk anticipation & Mitigation

Negotiation, persuasion & Influencing

Driving Initiatives

Volume and aligned delivery

Daily, weekly and monthly volume delivery as per capacity and plan

Aligned delivery of product requirement

Quality

Process planning for quality requirementsquality planning

SOP for quality and process adherence

Application Quality tools & analysis

Safety

OSHAS & TSHMS process planning and adherence

Risk identification and mitigation

Safe work environment

People management

Performance culture \u2013 Goal setting and Performance management system

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in production management, preferably Machining functionexperience with CNC expertise

Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.

Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.

Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.

Experience in the watch or wearable industry is a plus.
