Production Engineer

We are looking for a proactive, energetic, and detail-oriented Production Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. The role involves assisting in daily production planning, coordinating between teams, and ensuring work progresses as per quality and safety standards. This is a great opportunity for a Diploma holder with hands-on shop floor experience to grow into a production leadership role in the heavy fabrication and assembly industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily production planning based on project timelines and priorities.
• Read and understand fabrication drawings and work instructions.
• Coordinate with supervisors, stores, and quality teams to ensure material and resources are available on time.
• Monitor shop floor activities to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and work procedures.
• Track progress of ongoing jobs and update production records.
• Support supervisors in manpower allocation and resource planning.
• Identify bottlenecks or issues affecting production and escalate to seniors for resolution.
• Help maintain shop floor cleanliness and compliance with safety norms.
• Assist in material handling, shortage review, and coordination with stores.
• Support basic continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen).

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes (welding, fitting, machining, etc.).
• Familiarity with flanges, pipes, pipe fittings, and related standards is desirable.
• Strong coordination skills with the ability to act quickly and decisively on the shop floor.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years experience in manufacturing/fabrication industry desirable.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
