Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Factory Chef to lead the development, preparation, and production of vegetarian snacks and packaged edible products. The role involves creating innovative recipes, standardizing production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and overseeing large-scale kitchen/production operations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in vegetarian cuisine, food preservation, and mass food production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recipe Development & Standardization
  • Design and develop innovative vegetarian snack recipes suitable for packaging and mass production.
  • Standardize recipes to maintain taste, texture, and shelf-life consistency.
  • Production & Quality Control
  • Supervise large-scale preparation, cooking, and packaging of food items.
  • Monitor quality at every stage of production, ensuring compliance with FSSAI and other food safety regulations.
  • Implement portion control and minimize wastage.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene
  • Ensure all processes follow HACCP, GMP, and hygiene protocols.
  • Train staff on food handling, hygiene, and safety practices.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain
  • Manage raw material sourcing, storage, and usage in line with production needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Explore new vegetarian snack trends, preservation techniques, and packaging methods.
  • Suggest improvements for cost efficiency, energy saving, and longer shelf life.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef / Production Chef / Food Technologist in a food factory, catering unit, or FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of vegetarian cuisine, food processing, and packaging techniques.
  • Familiarity with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO standards for food safety.
  • Culinary degree/diploma or Food Technology background preferred.
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in snack foods, ready-to-eat meals, or packaged foods.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Creative mindset with attention to taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Problem-solving ability for large-scale food production challenges.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 20 per week
