Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Officer to join our team.


Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all product formulas adhere to BIS regulations, ingredient safety standards, and

labeling requirements.

• Review test results to identify necessary adjustments to formulas before production

initiation.

• Develop and implement new methods for evaluating products against BIS standards.


2. Product Formulation and Development:

• Conduct thorough research to develop new products and enhance existing ones,

including exploring novel ingredients and innovative product applications.

• Collaborate with production staff to train and oversee their adherence to process

requirements.

• Lead the creation, modification, and improvement of formulations and technologies

to enhance product performance and reduce costs.

• Design and execute experiments to ensure scalability and robustness of new

formulations and processes.


3. Project Management:

• Plan and execute manufacturing batches, ensuring production timelines are met.

• Utilize project management techniques to drive projects to completion effectively.

• Generate technology transfer documentation, SOPs, and project reports to document

and communicate project progress.


4. Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Prepare product samples for various tests, including stability, efficacy, and safety

assessments.

• Lead the testing of new products before market introduction to ensure compliance

with safety standards and desired performance levels.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements related to routine lab testing.


5. Vendor and Supplier Relations:

• Leads interactions with contract formulation labs

• Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate raw material deliveries and finished product

shipments to retail locations.

• Prepare specifications for raw materials and formulations, ensuring adherence to

standards.


6. Technical Expertise and Communication:

• Serve as a technical resource within the organization, providing guidance and

expertise on product formulation, development, and regulatory compliance.

• Prepare scientific presentations for colleagues, customers, technical conferences, and

trade shows.

• Lead the creation of publications and presentations at technical conferences to

showcase product innovations and advancements.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, food technology or a closely related

applied science field.

• Internships of projects in working in a formal environment

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and compliance.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify process improvements.

• Proficient in creating technical presentations and documentation.

Additional Information: This is a full-time position located at Bangalore.. Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings, conferences, and other business-related activities. The successful candidate will be part
