Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Research, conceptualize, and design new product lines blending

  traditional crafts with contemporary design trends

  .
• Collaborate with

  artisans, craftsmen, and suppliers

  to co-create designs aligned with ODOP products.
• Develop

  product prototypes, sketches, 3D models, and technical specifications

  .
• Work closely with the marketing and retail teams to design

  exclusive corporate gifts, ODOP catalogues, and product collections

  .
• Ensure

  sustainability, quality, and cost-effectiveness

  in product design.
• Provide creative direction for

  exhibitions, ODOP showcases, and catalogue shoots

  .
• Conduct

  market research

  to identify upcoming trends in handicrafts, jewellery, home décor, and lifestyle products.
• Document product stories for

  Rasayan magazine

  and digital promotion.
• Innovate packaging and branding concepts to enhance ODOP gift appeal.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in

  Product Design, Industrial Design, Craft Design, or related field

  .
• Strong portfolio of product design, preferably in

  crafts, lifestyle, jewellery, or home décor

  .
• Knowledge of

  materials, traditional techniques, and sustainable practices

  .
• Proficiency in

  design software

  (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Rhino, CorelDRAW, or similar).
• Excellent sketching, visualization, and prototyping skills.
• Ability to work with artisans at the grassroots and translate their craft into

  marketable products

  .
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with

  multi-disciplinary teams

  .
• Passion for Indian handicrafts, ODOP products, and heritage promotion.
