Job Title: Purchase / Procurement Executive
Location: Head Office – Camac Street, Kolkata
Industry: Chemical Manufacturing
Experience: 5–7 years in Procurement & Supply Chain (preferably in Chemical or Manufacturing sector)
Salary Range: Up to ₹25,000 per month

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities including sourcing, purchase order creation, and vendor follow-ups.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and consumables used in chemical manufacturing.
• Negotiate rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost savings and timely availability.
• Maintain and update vendor database, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse for timely replenishment of materials.
• Prepare comparative statements, track purchase requisitions, and maintain proper documentation.
• Assist in contract management, vendor performance evaluation, and supplier relationship management.
• Work closely with production, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory norms, safety standards, and company guidelines in all procurement activities.
• Generate MIS reports for management review (purchase cost, vendor performance, inventory status).

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Science, Commerce, or relevant field (MBA/PG in Supply Chain preferred).
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchase function, preferably in chemical/manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience in ERP/SAP or similar procurement software.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, purchase processes, and basic taxation (GST, TDS).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to handle multiple suppliers and ensure timely procurement under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
