Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to lead the end-to-end sourcing, vendor management, and material procurement process for retail interior fit-out projects across India.

This role will be pivotal in driving cost efficiency, quality assurance, and process transparency while aligning procurement activities with project timelines and brand standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project-based procurement, negotiation, and vendor performance management within retail, construction, or interiors domains

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management & Onboarding
Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors, contractors, and suppliers for interior fit-out and project materials.
Conduct pre-qualification checks, documentation reviews, and compliance audits for new vendors.
Maintain and update approved vendor databases with performance ratings and review cycles.
Procurement Planning & Material Purchase
Oversee material planning, purchase scheduling, and delivery timelines based on project execution plans.
Float RFQs / RFPs and analyze bids for commercial and technical compliance.
Ensure timely purchase orders, order tracking, and logistics coordination for multi-site rollouts.
Cost Control & Commercial Management
Lead commercial negotiations to ensure best value, payment terms, and delivery commitments.
Track and validate CAPEX spends, cost variance reports, and budget utilization.
Manage change orders, rate analysis, and value engineering exercises for cost optimization.
Work with the Finance team for vendor billing validation and payment release tracking.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Coordinate material quality inspections and site audits to ensure adherence to specifications and brand standards.
Collaborate with design and execution teams to resolve non-conformance or material rejections.
Drive safety and compliance adherence across vendor operations and logistics.
Freight, Logistics & Coordination
Manage transportation, logistics planning, and warehouse coordination to meet project schedules.
Track shipments, ensure proper documentation, and address freight-related challenges.
Reporting & Systems
Maintain procurement trackers, dashboards, and cost reports using Excel, Power BI, or PMO tools.
Document and standardize procurement workflows and approval processes in SharePoint / Power Automate.
Support management in procurement audits, vendor reviews, and process improvements.

Required Skills & Tools

Proficiency in MS Excel / Power BI / ERP or SAP (Procurement module).
Strong negotiation, commercial analysis, and vendor relationship management skills.
Knowledge of retail fit-out materials, finishes, MEP components, and furniture procurement.
Understanding of CAPEX / OPEX planning, logistics, and taxation in procurement.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Supply Chain / Procurement Management.
MBA or certification in Procurement / Supply Chain / Contract Management is an advantage.
6-10 years of experience in project procurement within retail, construction, or interiors industries.
